General Summary
The successful candidate will assume full responsibility for Hub activities associated with receiving, inspecting, qualifying, storing, picking, and shipping chemicals at the Hub to our customers. The candidate will be responsible for preparing shipping documents (including hazardous materials and other regulatory documents) and will be responsible for Receiving and Pick QC processes. The candidate will also help maintain inventory accuracy by conducting inventory counts and reconciling inventory.

Individual Storekeeper Shipping/Receiving QC and IC Specialist Responsibilities:

  1. Efficiently complete the daily activities of receiving, inspecting, qualifying, labeling, storing, picking, and delivering chemicals to Haas TCM customers.
  2. Oversee 3PL subcontractor’s warehouse and delivery services.
  3. Help insure a safe environment reporting all accidents and near misses.
  4. Help manage the Hub to comply with all federal, state, and local regulations including OSHA, DOT, and RCRA requirements.
  5. Manage inventory levels to meet delivery requirements while minimizing inventory costs. Help minimize shrinkage and spoilage of Haas TCM and customer owned inventory.
  6. Meet performance goals for customer service including on-time delivery of chemicals, acceptance rate, and scrap rate.
  7. Coordinate with Supply Chain organization and customers in setting annual goals.
  8. Identify and manage work process improvement projects and cost reduction efforts.
  9. Help manage implementation and maintenance of Quality and Safety Programs at the site including ISO initiatives.

Individual Customer Service Responsibilities:

  1. Maintains a positive image for Haas TCM, Inc. with our customers, while demonstrating high standards of business ethics and integrity.
  2. Ensures optimum performance of the Chemical Management Program by recommending and implementing actions to improve productivity, increase effectiveness and reduce costs.
  3. Acts within the scope of authority and remains consistent with Haas TCM, Inc. objectives, guidelines, polices, and practices.
  4. Consistently demonstrates the ability of Haas TCM, Inc. to provide value to the customer.
  5. Develops solutions for emergency situations.
  6. Determines appropriate inventory and service levels, plans or approves corrective action or process changes as required.
  7. Responds to customer requests regarding products, projects, information and other inquires.
  8. Insures all program reports are submitted correctly and in a timely manner to both internal and external customers.
  9. Participates in monthly chemical management meetings as assigned.
  10. Promote and ensure effective communication with Haas TCM, Inc. corporate personnel and with customer personnel.
  11. Represents Operations on a system wide basis with the continual development of Best Practices and Knowledge Sharing Initiatives.

Management Responsibilies:

  1. Help manage customer relationships.
  2. Keeps abreast of customer needs and practices affecting the Chemical Management Program and communicates pertinent information to managment.
  3. Coordinates activities related to projects requested by the customer or identified by Haas site staff members; maintains project list; works with management to assign resources as appropriate.
  4. Promotes and ensures effective communication and teamwork among Haas TCM and customers.
  5. Promotes and assists in development of Tier II suppliers and ensures they are meeting the needs of Haas and our customer.
  6. Help insure the Hub complies with all federal, state, and local regulations including OSHA, DOT, IATA and RCRA requirements.
  7. Work effectively across the Supply Chain organization in a cost effective manner and with customers having varying standards and objectives Identify and manage work process improvement projects and cost reduction efforts at Hubs
  8. Coordinate with Supply Chain organization and customers in setting annual goals.

Education and Experience:

Position requires two years experience in warehouse, logistics, inventory control and purchasing experience. 

Forklift experience not required for these positions. 

Experience in chemical warehouse operations, inventory control and quality control functions, or high quality shipping and receiving operations, preferred.

Experience in chemical shipping (including oils and lubricants) and/or warehouse/shipping operations for military contracts a plus.  

Skills:

Candidate must posses Proven leadership, excellent written and oral communications skills, technical competence, collaborative style, and have the ability to deal effectively with customers and subcontractors.

Must work effectively across the Supply Chain organization in a cost effective manner and with customers having varying standards and objectives.
