General Summary
The Sourcing Data Analyst will have the responsibility to analyze databases of purchased chemicals, components and MRO supplies for Haas TCM’s clients.
Individual Responsibilities
- Query data from complex relational databases for various analyses and/or requests using MS Access or SQL
- Design analytical tools using MS Access, MS Excel, and other statistical packages
- Perform proactive and reactive analyses to ensure data integrity and opportunities for improvements
- Apply creative-thinking approach to identify and understand potential cost savings opportunities
- Understand and develop the means to provide data supporting operational metrics
- Provide documentation, workflow analysis, and data flow diagramming support
- Provide training and/or support as needed
- Investigates potential suppliers and recommends those most desirable; issues requests for quotations; analyzes bids; makes awards and places orders for standard/routine items
- Develops and provides reports as needed
- Supports sales department by providing best price estimates to prospective customers

Education and Experience
University degree
4+ years of experience preferably in chemical data analysis (does not necessarily have to have chemical industry experience)
Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Access, Powerpoint
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
