General Summary
The Quality Receiving Specialist will assume responsibility for performing our Quality Inspections in our Warehouse Operation on incoming chemicals. The Quality Receiving Specialist will have a solid science background and a strong understanding of Quality systems. This position demands a self-starter, can-do attitude to be successful. The candidate will be able to think on their feet and provide process improvement recommendations.  

Primary Emphasis
To manage Incoming Inspection processes per approved standards and procedures. Incoming Inspections procedures are designed to insure product accuracy.

Principal Functions

1. To compare previously entered material data to product. This is a designed in process quality over-inspect activity.
2. To insure data accuracy and bring all problems to the appropriate responsible party within the hub operation.
3. Haas TCM system data entry of accurate records to move the record on to the next process.
4. Work with other hub staff (Customer Service, Warehouse, Hub Manager) as required.

Metrics

1. Insure data entry data accuracy.
2. Complete all daily job tasks.
3. Provide daily updates at morning team meeting.

Problem Solving
Must be able to work effectively in a cost effective manner and with internal customers having varying standards and objectives.

Work Experience/Knowledge
Experience in Quality systems and working in a Chemical Warehouse operations or related operations required. Experience in inventory management information systems preferred.

Skills
Technical competence, collaborative style, understanding of behavioral tendencies of warehouse personnel, ability to deal effectively with customers and subcontractors. Needs to work effectively across the Hub and Warehouse organizations to effectively implement job functions. Candidate must have strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
