General Summary
Provide support in Human Resources. Assist on department projects.
Individual Responsibilities
- Process new hire paperwork
- Obtain from Hiring Managers proper paperwork and signatures for new hires.
- Process background checks on all new employees and email results to Hiring Manager. Provide new employees with drug test forms and location of testing facility.
- Prepare and send offer letter and benefit package information to candidates.
- Employee benefits.
- Enroll new members into benefit plan and terminate former employees in a timely manner.
- Monitor monthly invoices for adds, terminates and COBRA participation.
- Administrative
- Respond to inquiries regarding employment verification and unemployment.
- Maintain company contact list, organizational chart and facility location list (US and international).
- Design and maintain education assistance database.
- Maintain employee HR files.
- Maintain temporary employee database.
- Distribute communications dealing with HR and benefits.
- Assist with 401(k) and payroll audits.
- Payroll
- Assist Accounting Department with semi-monthly payroll.
- Enter new employees into payroll and timekeeping system.
- As needed update the HR information for Canada and Puerto Rico payroll.

Education and Experience
2 or 4 year degree in related field
2 years experience preferably in Human Resources
Skills
Ability to communicate to all levels within organization
Excellent oral and written skills
Ability to manage ones time and work independently
Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
Knowledge of payroll systems a plus
